HOG traces its origins back to 2013, when Chris Attard and Charles Spiteri opened their second venture under the name Dukes Café, located within The Duke Shopping Mall in Victoria. Building on the experience gained from their first outlet, the concept was initially based on a similar foundation, offering a mix of food and beverages in a central and accessible location.
After its first year of operation, the owners undertook a complete refurbishment and rebranding of the outlet, giving rise to what is today known as HOG. With a clearer identity and a more defined direction, HOG quickly established itself as a popular stop for both locals and visitors within Gozo’s capital.
Situated at the entrance of The Duke Shopping Mall, right along Victoria’s main street, HOG benefits from a constant flow of activity, making it an ideal place to pause during the day, whether for a quick refreshment or a more substantial meal.
Over time, the concept continued to evolve. While HOG was initially associated with its selection of cakes, pastries, and lighter bites, this gradually developed into a much broader offering. Today, the menu includes a variety of dishes such as breakfasts, burgers, pinsas, pizzas, pasta, salads, wraps, and main courses, providing a well-rounded choice suited to different occasions and preferences.
In early 2025, HOG underwent a significant upgrade, including a refreshed interior and updated branding, further enhancing both its space and overall offering, and allowing it to better reflect the standards and direction of A&S Group.
Today, HOG continues to play an important role within the Group’s portfolio, offering a versatile dining option in a central location, and contributing to the strong and consistent presence that A&S Group has established within Victoria’s, and Gozo’s, hospitality landscape.
