Chapeau Bistro represents A&S Group’s natural progression within the catering industry, complementing its existing ventures while introducing a more refined dining concept in the heart of Victoria.

Located on the ground floor of Townhouse 17 and forming part of the same small complex, Chapeau Bistro was conceived with a clear purpose in mind. Alongside the opening of the boutique hotel in 2021, the Group recognised the need for a dedicated restaurant that could host guests for breakfast, while also serving the wider public throughout the day and evening.

The restaurant offers an intimate and comfortable setting, with both indoor and outdoor seating, allowing for a more personal and attentive dining experience. Whether for a relaxed lunch or an evening meal, Chapeau Bistro maintains a balanced approach that focuses on quality food served in a welcoming environment.

Its menu builds on the savoury foundation that was originally part of Cup Cake, evolving into a standalone offering that includes a variety of dishes suited to different tastes. At the same time, its close proximity to Cup Cake allows for a seamless connection between the two outlets, with tables at Chapeau Bistro able to conclude their meal with desserts prepared next door, while guests at Cup Cake may also enjoy dishes from the Chapeau kitchen.

An important element of the concept remains the use of fresh ingredients, including locally sourced produce where possible, ensuring that the food reflects both quality and consistency. This approach is complemented by a carefully considered wine list that aims to provide a good balance between selection and value.

Chapeau Bistro also plays a central role within the Townhouse 17 experience, serving breakfast daily to hotel guests as part of their stay, while continuing to welcome both locals and visitors throughout the day.

In early 2026, Chapeau Bistro launched its first website, offering a clearer overview of its food offering while also allowing guests to book a table directly through an online portal, further enhancing convenience and accessibility.

Today, Chapeau Bistro stands as an integral part of A&S Group’s portfolio, strengthening its presence within Victoria’s, and Gozo’s, hospitality landscape, and reflecting the same principles of quality, consistency, and attention to detail that define the Group as a whole.
