Cup Cake was the first venture of A&S Ltd into the world of food and beverage, and from the very beginning it established itself as a popular spot in Victoria. Opened in 2012, the café offers a relaxed setting where patrons can enjoy quality sweet treats while taking in the everyday rhythm of Gozo’s capital.
Over the years, the concept has evolved. While Cup Cake originally offered a wider menu that included savoury dishes, the opening of Chapeau Bistro in 2021 allowed the Group to refine its offering. The savoury element was transitioned to Chapeau Bistro, while Cup Cake focused entirely on what it does best, specialising in sweets, desserts, and pastries.
In late 2021 and early 2022, Cup Cake underwent a major renovation, giving the space a fresh new look while maintaining the character that regular customers had come to appreciate. Alongside this, the outlet also expanded its offering by introducing cakes made on request, allowing customers to order customised creations for different occasions.
As one would expect from a café named Cup Cake, the focus lies firmly on its dessert selection. From pancakes and waffles to a wide variety of pastries and cakes, the offering continues to attract both locals and visitors looking for something sweet in a welcoming and informal environment.
This evolution continued in early 2023 with the launch of the Cup Cake website. The website provides a clear overview of the café’s offering while also giving customers the possibility to browse and order whole cakes directly from an online catalogue.
Today, Cup Cake remains a key part of the A&S Group portfolio, combining familiarity with continuous improvement, and maintaining its place as a well-established destination for desserts in the heart of Victoria.
